Call to Order
Mayor Derek Norton called to order the Special Called Meeting of the Mayor and Council
— Service Delivery Strategy Mediation held at the Marietta Hotel & Conference Center (500
Powder Springs Street, Marietta GA 30064) in the Lyon Room at 9:50 AM.
3. Formal Business
A. AGR2024-035 Approval of Mediation Agreement with the Honorable Judge G. Grant Brantley
to perform services related to the mediation of the Cobb County Service Delivery Strategy
negotiations and authorize the Mayor to execute
Councilmember Travis Lindley made a motion to approve item AGR2024-035; seconded
by Councilmember Glenn Pickens.
The motion to approve carries with the following vote:
Aye: 4 — Councilmember Pickens, Councilmember Lindley, Councilmember
Wilkinson, Councilmember Oglesby
Nay: 0 — None
Absent: 3 — Councilmember Hines, Councilmember Welch, Mayor Pro Tern /
Councilmember Gould

The meeting was recessed for opening statements followed by mediation at 9:51 AM by Mayor
Derek Norton.
