06-03-1972 Special MeetingPage 72 SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 39 1972 A special meeting June 3, 1972 was called to order by presiding officer Mayor John C. Porterfield. All Councilmen were present except C. 0. Canada of Ward #5 and E. R. Coalson of Ward #6. A motion was made by Homer Kuhl, seconded by Arthur T. Bacon, to designate the meeting as a regular official meeting. The motion was approved unanimously. A request was made by Mr. Gaddis Young to rezone the property located at 2161 and 2169 Old Concord Road from R-1 residential to C-1 commercial. The purpose for the rezoning request was to tear down the two old buildings and construct a new office building. Hearing date for the rezoning was set for June 19, 1972 on motion by Homer Kuhl, seconded by Marston Tuck. Vote on the motion was unanimous. Meeting adjourned 11:20 A. M. ON, AIA ro C.
