12-09-1952 Continued Regular Meeting106 con. regular meeting December 9, 1952. Mayor J. M. Gibson, presiding with the following Councilmen present, Glenn Yarbrough, Harry Mitchell, C. M. Hamby and C. C. Terrell. Mayor elect, Guy•Duncan and Councilmen elect, H. L. McEntyre and Tohn Collier present. Mr. Sam,Ewing, of Samfs Cleaners ask that Council investigate license set up as to protection from outside cleaners doing business in the City. This referred to next years license committee. Motion by Glenn Yarbrough seconded by C. Al. Hamby ,to .extend 2" water line far enough to accomodate Mr. Turner on Line St. Voted unanimous. Mr. Hamby and Mr. Mitchell appointed to work with Mr. Yarbrough to work out solution pertaining to multiple families using water from one meter. A written reguest from Marietta Coach Company asking permission to operate a bus schedule in a portion of city. Motion by C. C. Terrell seconded by Glenn Yarbrough to issue for a temperary period until January 15th to run schedule as per letter. Voted unanimous. Motion by C. M. Hamby seconded by Harry Mitchell to renew insurance covering automobile fle6t of automobile, trucks and machinery with M. C. Kreps Company. Voted unanimous. Motion by Glenn Yarbrough seconded by C. "M. Hamby to employ extra clerical help for 2 weeks at $40.00 per week (52da): Voted u- nanimous. Resolutions read passed at Georgia Municipal Association. Re- ferred to new Mayor- and Council. Motion by C. M. Hamby seconded by C. C. Terrell to pay Weid- man and Singleton for engineering services in connection with survey and report on Sanitary Sewer System, $1,058.09. Voted unanimous. Motion by C. C. Terrell seconded by Harry Mitchell to pay M. J. Hensley $4,204.57, engineering service to date. Voted unanimous. Motion by Glenn Yarbrough seconded by C. C. Terrell to pay all current bills subject to approval of Finance committee. Voted unanimous. Motion by.C. M. Hamby seconded by Glenn Yarbrough to pay City Attorney $20500.00 including fee on workepn application for Federal grant andlbond'lspue. Voted unanimous. Motion by Glenn Yarbrough -seconded by C. C. -Terrell to pay amount due July 1st, interest and paying agents fee to be sent Fulton National Bank -Atlanta. Voted unanimous. Street light proposal given by Harry Mitchell, electrical churn. Proposal attached to these minutes. Motion by C. M. Hamby seconded by C. C. Terrell to get estimate from Ga. Power Company engineers. Voted unanimous. Motion by C. M.
