Gentlemen:
We understand you propose to call an election in the immediate future
to vote on the following bond issues:
Recreational Bonds
$ Water and Sewer Bonds.
It is our suggestion that the bonds bear date as of January 1, 1954,
interest to be payable January 1 and July 1, in denomination of $1,000,
principal and interest,,to be payable at the Fulton National Bank, Atlanta,
Georgia and that the principal payments be made on January 1 over a
' period of ,30 years (1955 to,/, both inclusive), and that the interest
rate on these^Tionds be 3 1
(The average annual payment on T275,000 bonds for t% years is approxi
mately $
Subject to the bonds being legally voted, validated and approved by our
attorneys, we will handle them for the City for a fee of 2% of the face
' value plus 1/2 of the premium received from the sale of the bonds. We
will pay the fee of our attorneys and the cost of printing the bonds.
This agreement constitutes a firm commitment on our part for a period
of 120 days and if, through no fault of ours, the City is unable to deliver
-r the bonds within that period, we are to have no further liability but are to
have an option for an additional 120 days to complete the transaction on
the same basis.
