A special meeting of the Mayor and Council was held at the.
City Hall on July 15, 1947'. 'at 8:00 P.M. '
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, Mrs. Lorena P.
Pruitt, with all councilmen present: B. H. Hanson, H: D. Durham,
E. E. Jackson, H. P. McCollum and W. A. Quarles.
.Also present were Attorneys Willingham and Edwards.
Pursuant to advertising required by the statute a public hearing
was held on the ordinance to pave Love Street, introduced by
Councilman,H. D. buurham and seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum
at the June 23, 1947 meeting of. the Mayor and Council. After
such public hearing, motion was made by Councilman B. H. Hanson,
seconded by Councilman W. A. Quarles, that the"ordinance for the
paving of Love Street 'introduced by Councilman H. D. Durham and
seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum at the June 23, 1947 meeting
,of the Mayor and Council be passed in toto as introduced. Motion
was unanimously carried and'suc'h ordinance was adopted.
Pursuant to advertising required/by the statute a public. hearing
was held on the ordinance to pave Dunn Street, introduced by
Councilman H. D. Durham and seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum,
at the -June 23, 1947 meeting of the Mayor and Council. After
such public hearing, motion was'made by Councilman W. A.'Quarles,
seconded by Councilman B. H. Hanson, that the ordinance for the
paving of Dunn Street introduced by Councilman H. D., Durham and
seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum at the June 23, 1947 meeting
of the Mayor and Council be passed in toto as introduced. Motion
was unanimously carried and such ordinance was adopted.

Councilman H. D. Durham and seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum
at the June 23, 1947 meeting of the Mayor and Council. After such
public hearing, motion was made by Councilman H. P. McCollum and
seconded by Councilman H. D. Durham, that the ordinance for the
paving of Sunset Street introduced by Councilman H. D. Durham and
seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum at the June 23, 1947 meeting
of the Mayor and Council be passed in toto as introduced. Motion
was unanimously -carried and such 'ordinance was adopted.
Pursuant to advertising required by the statute a public hearing
was held on the ordinance to pave Lee Street, introduced by
Councilman H. D. Durham and seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum
at the Uune 23, 1947 meeting of the Mayor and Council. After §uch
public hearing, motion was made by Councilman H. D. Durham, and
seconded by Councilman H. P. McCollum, that the ordinance for the
paving of Lee Street introduced by Councilman H. D. Durham and
seconded by Councilman H.,P. McCollum at the June 23, 1947 meeting
of the Mayor and Council be passed in toto as introduced. Motion
was unanimously carried and such ordinance was adopted.
A petition requesting passing of ordinance for paving of street
was presented and^is attached at the close of these minutes and made
a part hereof; it is more particularly described -as follows:
Petition presented by a Committee from Bank Street and
signed by thirty-five (35) property owners, this being
a majority of the property owners on said street.
