Jack Shinall said recently he has been reading about Marietta's efforts to have their annexation moratorium lifted. Mr. Shinall said this moratorium carne about from the Cobb County Board of Education and the general population of the county; not the Cobb County Commissioners and it bothered him to hear about Smyrna's continued annexation policies. When Marietta annexes, our school system loses revenues and our annexations do not have that sarne effect. Mr. Shinall said that is the reason the moratorium was passed and he felt it should stay in place. Bob Betenbaugh said he would like to emphasize to our citizens that when they make ani~mal control calls they should be specific in their report to avoid any misunderstandings.
